Open the SQL Server Configuration Manager, unfold the node SQL Server Network Configuration and select Protocols for MSSQLServer (or whatever the name of your SQL Server instance is).<\/p>\n<p>Go to SQL Server Network Configuration &gt; Protocols for SQLEXPRESS.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/qbytes.cloud\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/tcp.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-2096\" src=\"https:\/\/qbytes.cloud\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/tcp-300x95.png\" alt=\"tcp\" width=\"300\" height=\"95\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.qbytes.cloud\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/tcp-300x95.png 300w, https:\/\/www.qbytes.cloud\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/tcp-768x244.png 768w, https:\/\/www.qbytes.cloud\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/tcp.png 960w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Make sure TCP\/IP is enabled.\u00a0Right-click on TCP\/IP and select Properties.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/qbytes.cloud\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/enable.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-2098\" src=\"https:\/\/qbytes.cloud\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/enable-266x300.png\" alt=\"enable\" width=\"266\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.qbytes.cloud\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/enable-266x300.png 266w, https:\/\/www.qbytes.cloud\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/enable.png 427w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 266px) 100vw, 266px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Now:<\/p>\n<p>Select the IP Addresses Tab.\u00a0Verify that, under IP2, the IP Address is set to the computer&#8217;s IP address on the local subnet.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/qbytes.cloud\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/ip.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-2099\" src=\"https:\/\/qbytes.cloud\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/ip-266x300.png\" alt=\"ip\" width=\"266\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.qbytes.cloud\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/ip-266x300.png 266w, https:\/\/www.qbytes.cloud\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/ip.png 424w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 266px) 100vw, 266px\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nScroll down to IPAll.\u00a0Make sure that TCP Dynamic Ports is blank.\u00a0Make sure that TCP Port is set to 1433.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/qbytes.cloud\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/ipall.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-2100\" src=\"https:\/\/qbytes.cloud\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/ipall-265x300.png\" alt=\"ipall\" width=\"265\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.qbytes.cloud\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/ipall-265x300.png 265w, https:\/\/www.qbytes.cloud\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/ipall.png 424w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 265px) 100vw, 265px\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nApply and Click OK.<\/p>\n<p>Make Sure the SQL Server Browser is running. Go to Services and set the start to automatic.
